TLE4951CB

The TLE4951 detects the motion of ferromagnetic structures or objects by measuring the change of differential flux density . This changes are either generated by a moving magnetic encoder or a moving ferromagnetic gear structure (e.g. Gear wheel) within a magnetic back bias field. The high sensitivity and very precise switching behavior ensure excellent measurement accuracy over the whole frequency range of up to 12kHz. Like many other Infineon powertrain speed sensors, the TLE4951 offers a fast power up and self-calibration phase combined with a frequent recalibration function in run mode using an visible adaptive hysteresis concept. In addition, the TLE4951 provides a new, outstanding vibration suppression function by using a smart algorithm. This ensures that no pulses are missed even under sever conditions like air gap jumps, high rotational or air gap vibration.Special care was also taken in the design to provide a precise zero-Hertz measurement capability, which is of high benefit in e.g. new automotive transmission application with parking brake, hill holder or hill start assist functions. The TLE4951 has a standard 2-wire current interface. It is provides in a module style package with an integrated capacitor for high EMC robustness. A version with an integrated back bias NdFeB magnet for easy usage and design-in is optionally available.
