The VortiQa® Network and Security Package (VortiQa NSP) Application Development Kit is a commercial-grade software package targeted for VPN routers, Security Gateways and Unified Threat Management (UTM) applications featuring the most flexibility, highest security and packet processing performance / watt.
This package utilizes the power of LS Advanced Input Output Processor (AIOP), a part of Data Path Acceleration Architecture v2 (DPAA-2) to perform autonomous data path packet processing involved in common networking and security applications. The Network and Security Package provides these market-ready network functions that are feature rich, widely-used in networking designs and can be easily integrated with control stacks and applications running in LS General Purpose Processor (GPP) cores. These functions are performed in the AIOP, which means the data path functions run mostly independent of the GPP software and only involve the GPP, when necessary.
Each of the Network functions data path provides control plane Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) where customers are able to integrate their network and software stacks with the respective Network Functions APIs and immediately realize the improved performance in their software, while conserving the LS general purpose cores for other applications, such as control plane and different high level networking applications.
