The VortiQa® Protocol Offload Package (VortiQa POP) Application Development Kit (ADK) is a commercial-grade performance-optimized and hardware accelerated software package targeted at Data Center and Network Storage Systems for use with applications. This ADK provides TCP termination offloads for storage systems and data center networking acceleration applications. The VortiQa POP offloads data plane protocol processing to NXP® LS communication platform’s Advanced IO Processor (AIOP) block, which is a part of Data Path Acceleration Architecture version 2 (DPAA2).
NXP provides these feature-rich market-ready Network Functions (NF) offloads running on NXP LS communications platform’s AIOP. The offload functions running in AIOP can easily be integrated with control plane stacks running in LS General Purpose Processor (GPP) cores. Each of the NF offload functions provides control APIs and delivers optimized performance, while conserving GPP cores for additional high level and control plane networking applications.
