The VortiQa® Switch Supplementary Package (VortiQa SSP) Application Development Kit (ADK) is a commercial-grade performance-optimized and hardware accelerated software package targeted at collecting and reporting network analytics and path link status for use with applications, which provide traffic and connectivity visibility. The VortiQa SSP implements autonomous data path processing for monitoring and operations, administration and management/maintenance (OAM) applications supplementing the routing/switching functionality of the networking equipment designs.

This ADK provides data path offloads for network functions listed below.

Each of these offloads operates independently and make the VortiQa SSP very useful software component in switching and routing applications. NXP provides these feature rich market-ready Network Functions (NF) offloads running on NXP® LS communications platform’s Advanced IO Processor (AIOP), which is a part of NXP’s Data Path Acceleration Architecture–v2 (DPAA2). The offload functions running in AIOP can easily be integrated with control plane stacks running in LS General Purpose Processor (GPP) cores. Each of the NFs offload functions provides control APIs, referred to as NF APIs. The offload functions running in AIOP result in optimized performance, while conserving GPP cores for additional high level networking applications.
